Our client is a leading global financial services firm, providing a wide range of investment banking, securities, investment management and wealth management services. They are looking for an Operations Analyst to join their team in Glasgow. This role offers the opportunity to work within one of the largest divisions in the firm, responsible for correctly settling and recording millions of transactions per day, identifying and mitigating operational risk, developing strong client relationships and partnering with technology to realise the full potential of IT and Automation. The successful candidate will have a unique vantage point as the division touches all parts of the business, front to back.

What you'll do:
* Maintain ownership of a portfolio of trades from Trade date through to settlement date.
* Build strong relationships with the business unit.
* Understand clients needs and requests, seeking clarification if required.
* Liaise directly with trading desk and external clients for relevant closing documentation to support internal trade closing.
* Ensure that trade documents are prepared and executed appropriately.
* Manage multiple inboxes receiving client and investor inquiries to mitigate reputational and financial impact associated with delayed responses.
What you bring:
* Knowledge of loans market preferred but not essential.
* Would benefit from LoanIQ experience.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Demonstrates great attention to detail.
* Excellent organisation skills, with the ability to work to tight deadlines.
* A self-starter who takes individual ownership of their work quality and improvement.
* Analytical skills with ability to evaluate information gathered from multiple sources and reconcile variances.
* Great focus on risk management and escalation.
