JOB SUMMARY
The Speech Pathologist is a certified Speech Language Pathologist who assumes the responsibility as a staff Speech/Language Pathologist to assess and give qualified therapy to the patients of Saint Francis Medical Center. The Speech/Language Pathologist will administer appropriate tests as diagnostic tools for evaluation, provide appropriate private therapy to meet short and long term goals, determine length of therapy, time of discharge and/or referrals.
JOB DETAILS AND REQUIREMENTS
Type: Full Time (72 hours per 2 week pay period, with benefits)
Typical hours for this position: Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm, weekends and holiday rotation
Education:
* Master's or Clinical Doctorate program in Speech/Language Pathology - required
Certification & Licensures:
* Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech Pathology from American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) required within two (2) years of hire - required
* Current licensure or provisional license in the State of Missouri - required
* BLS certification - required
Experience:
* No experience other than clinical internship required for entry
* Additional experience for Home Care and Hospice Speech Pathologists:
* Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state requirements and is in good working order - required
* Experience in Home Care, Hospice and/or Palliative Care - preferred
* Must register with the Family Care Safety Registry (FCSR) and complete the FCSR background - required
