3rd Line Engineer - MSP, Windows, Cloud
Coleshill - £40,000 - £45,000 + Benefits
Applause IT are working with a growing MSP in who are on the lookout for a 3rd Line Engineer with solid experience within a Microsoft tech stack and having prior experience in a managed service environment.
The chosen 3rd Line Engineer will assume the role of delivering technical assistance to our clients. This entails tasks such as diagnosing and resolving issues, setting up and configuring, hardware and software, overseeing user and device management, addressing technical queries, and resolving problems. It is also essential to escalate support tickets through our service desk to guarantee prompt issue resolution.
The successful 3rd Line Engineer should have experience and exposure with the following:
1. MSP Background, with the ability to multi-task and prioritise accordingly.
2. Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11, Windows Server 2012 -2022, Office 365, SCCM (or similar) Active Directory
3. Great communication skills, with great problem-solving abilities
4. Update the ticketing system, ensuring the call has been logged and all notes, progress and required actions have been input promptly and accurately.
5. Respond to Service Desk phone calls/tickets as needed, focusing on 3rd line tickets and activities, and taking on tickets escalated by the 1st/2nd line Infrastructure Technicians.
6. Virtualisation - VMWare ESXi Veeam Backup & Replication / Hyper-V
7. An ability to explain technical problems in a simple way to end users at all levels within the business.
8. Any experience with cloud technologies would be advantageous.
You must be in possession of a clean UK driving license.
