Managing Quantity Surveyor - Rail
The Role:
The Managing Quantity Surveyor is required to provide commercial support to rail projects, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and supporting the successful delivery of Network Rail's CP7 framework. This role will involve overseeing commercial activities across key rail infrastructure projects, maintaining commercial controls, and ensuring alignment with the company's strategic objectives. The role also requires collaboration with Network Rail representatives and key stakeholders to manage variations, claims, and financial agreements.
Key Responsibilities:
Reporting
Provide robust, accurate, and timely cost and value reporting at both project and business unit levels within the rail sector.
Ensure accurate cash flow reporting for Network Rail and CP7 projects.
Carry out cost management, including forecasting and risk analysis.
Lead the preparation of monthly CVRs, cost plans, and commercial strategies for rail projects.
Processes
Ensure commercial processes are adhered to across rail business units.
Continuously improve processes and procedures to align with Network Rail and CP7 requirements.
Maintain a strong understanding of JV/Alliance commercial processes and contribute to their development and refinement.
External Relationships
Ensure contracts entered align with Network Rail's standards and CP7 framework requirements, mitigating commercial risks.
