We have an exciting opportunity for a Leakage Engineer to join the Leakage team within Water Distribution at Yorkshire Water and be a part of helping Yorkshire Water to provide the best service to our customers. Could this be you?

Where you fit in:
As our Leakage Engineer you will:
* Provide expert technical advice and engineering support to the business and service partners in relation to leakage investigation and reduction.
* Assist area teams in their day to day activities through network related risk investigation, optimisation, mitigation and resolution. Develop, deliver, and implement operational and capital solutions for leakage purposes.
* Ensure investigation activities are undertaken with minimal impact on other performance commitments, e.g. Water Supply Interruptions and Water Quality.
What skills & qualifications you will need:
* Detailed knowledge of leakage principles, monitoring, calculation and analysis techniques.
* A knowledge of the design and operation principles of potable water distribution network assets.
* Able to undertake detailed leakage and optimisation investigations.
* Can direct and undertake efficient site investigation activities to collect additional hydraulic data.
* Previous experience of pressure management and DMA optimisation.
* Has a detailed understanding and application of hydraulic calculations and modelling tools.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
* The ability and experience to communicate with key stakeholders at all levels within the organisation and externally.
* Ability to understand and use corporate systems and IT applications.
* Experience of analysing complex data and interpreting trends to develop solutions.
* Able to prioritise own workload and delegate and manage workload given to others.
* Ability to assess the potential benefits of optimisation and pressure management proposals.
* Ability to use and act upon own initiative to solve and overcome challenges.
* Ability to practically and pragmatically assess risks and benefits within your role.
* Ability to work in a team and under your own initiative.
* Full UK driving licence.
