Due to continued growth Next Generation are currently recruiting for a Vertical Borer to work with a well-established engineering company based near Halesowen. As Vertical Borer you will be responsible for operating Webster Bennett and Berthiez vertical boring machines.
Shift Pattern for the Vertical Borer:
Week one – Monday to Friday (06:00am – 14:00pm)
Week Two – Monday to Friday (14:00pm – 22:00pm)
What’s on offer for the Vertical Borer:
* Competitive hourly rate £17.68 per hour.
Commutable from: Stourbridge, Brierley Hill, Halesowen, West Bromwich, Wednesbury, Walsall, Wolverhampton
Duties of the Vertical Borer:
* Operating Webster Bennett & Berthiez vertical boring machines
* Machining quality components in accordance with technical engineering drawings
* Handling and machining components up to 10 tonnes
* Correctly identifying parts using hard stamping
* Deburring components and ensuring they are fit for transportation
* Carrying out daily bookings against route cards and timings
* Maintaining machinery, swarf removal, routine oiling & greasing
* Carrying out inspection of all components throughout the process.
* Operating overhead cranes
The successful candidate for the Vertical borers position will have the following experience:
* 3 – 5 year’s experience vertical boring or turning (Essential)
* Programming using Siemens (Desirable)
* Ability to read & interpret engineering drawings (Essential)
* Time served apprentice (Preferred)
