We're seeking a visionary Senior Global Supply Chain & Business Management Leader to spearhead our centralized worldwide commodity sourcing and OEM business management for Ring's cutting-edge smart home devices. In this pivotal role, you'll architect and execute the global business strategy, aligning supply chain initiatives to delight customers and propel Ring's explosive growth across markets.
As the Senior Global Supply Chain & Business Management Leader, you'll be at the forefront of Amazon's mission to be Earth's most customer-centric company. Based in Taiwan, you'll set the strategic vision, develop and deploy global business plans, and lead cross-functional teams across Ring's entire supply chain business management scope. Your leadership will be crucial in building executive relationships and managing key stakeholders across Amazon's global operations to ensure supply chain seamlessly integrates with overarching business objectives. You'll identify opportunities and drive continuous improvement of worldwide procurement and supply chain processes through data-driven analysis and market insights. Nurturing strategic partnerships with top-tier vendors and negotiating big dollar agreements will be essential to secure best-in-class components at optimal costs.
This role requires exceptional strategic vision, business acumen, stakeholder management skills, and cross-functional leadership experience in managing global operations for technology/consumer product companies.
Key job responsibilities
1. Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize cost savings and operational efficiency.
2. Identify, evaluate, onboard, & manage potential vendors and suppliers based on quality, price, and reliability.
3. Negotiate contracts and agreements with vendors to secure favorable terms and conditions.
4. Oversee the procurement process, including requisition, sourcing, purchasing, and delivery.
5. Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues or disputes that may arise.
6. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and requirements.
7. Stay abreast of market trends, economic factors, and regulatory changes that may impact procurement.
8. Lead and mentor the procurement team, providing guidance and support to achieve departmental goals.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
1. Experience in procurement within the consumer electronics industry.
2. 10+ years experience in procurement & supply chain related roles.
3. Leadership and team management skills.
4. Advanced degree in Business Administration or Supply Chain Management.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
1. Professional certification in Procurement or Supply Chain Management (e.g., CSCP, CPSM).
2. In-depth knowledge of international procurement regulations and practices, particularly in Asia and North America.
3. Experience with e-procurement systems and global supply chain management software.
4. Strong negotiation skills and a proven ability to build and maintain strategic vendor relationships across diverse cultural contexts.
5. Track record of driving innovation and implementing best practices in global procurement.
6. Familiarity with smart home and IoT technologies and markets.
