Research Associate - Pheromones Formulations

Role Description
To conduct research and perform experiments under the guidance of the Lead Scientist to develop cost-effective and improved formulations likely to aid the business growth of Crop IQ.
This is a full-time on-site role for a Research Associate in Pheromones Formulations. The company will provide a comprehensive package to facilitate your relocation.
The Research Associate will be responsible for developing and formulating pheromones, conducting research on pheromone-based products, and testing their efficacy. They will work to enhance agricultural practices and promote environmentally friendly solutions.
Job Responsibilities:
* Basic knowledge of chemistry, pesticides/agrochemicals & pest management/entomology, formulation & pheromones.
* Basic knowledge of safety/precautions while working in the lab.
* Basic knowledge in pest management or pest control.
* Basic knowledge of common equipment like balance, pH meter, moisture analyzer, and other analytical instruments.
* Basic knowledge of preparing solutions and calculating molarity/normality/purity.
* Understanding of objectives, identification of key steps for observation, and safely/effectively preserving the same in records for future reference.
* Literature search and evaluation of various formulation processes and types, and selection of equipment.
* Conducting day-to-day experiments as per the Project Execution Plan.
* Timely reporting of results to superiors.
* Documentation of experimental results in standard formats.
Qualifications:
* Research and development skills.
* Experience in formulating pheromones.
* 2-3 years of experience working in a lab and handling various formulation equipment.
* Knowledge of Integrated Pest Management (IPM) principles.
* Problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Strong attention to detail.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and remotely.
* Background in biotechnology, chemistry, or agriculture.
* Preferably MSc in pesticides/agrochemicals & pest management/chemistry/entomology with formulation development background.
