As the Technical Support Engineer / Project Lead IT Technician you will also be involved with supporting the IT Helpdesk / Service Desk when required, troubleshooting and resolving any technical issues relating to Software / Application / Hardware / Server and Network issues. DUTIES Your duties as the Technical Support Engineer / Project Lead IT Technician include: Lead and implement IT projects working closely with the business and other team members Take end to end ownership of Service Records, making sure all relevant stakeholders are adequately informed of actions undertaken Ensure the Service Knowledge Management System is kept up to date at all times Manage complex and high priority Service Records to both internal and external teams in line with agreed processes Provide a customer-centric interface for all users of IT systems and external parties where applicable Keep abreast of any new technologies that may be implemented by the business to maintain expert knowledge to uphold ability to provide support Manage / Administer cloud services CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS Previous experience of working in a busy IT department Previous experience working in a customer facing role Support knowledge of Windows Server and desktop operating systems and Microsoft Office Knowledge of Microsoft 365 admin center and Azure Active Directory Knowledge of how to troubleshoot network issues Demonstrable analytical approach to problem solving Excellent written and verbal communicative skills Full clean driving license and your own vehicle - must be able to travel between 5 sites across Plymouth (travelling expenses paid back) Desirable Basic knowledge of Microsoft System Center Basic knowledge of Microsoft Internet Information Services.
