Job Title: Deputy Head of Maths
Location: Chatteris, Cambridgeshire
Salary: MPS/UPS - £31,650 to £49,084 + TLR 2b - £5,800
Contract Type: Full-time (permanent)
This role is required to begin in September 2025.
Our client, a thriving and ambitious all-through college in Chatteris, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Head of Maths to join their dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate maths educator to take on a leadership role, supporting the Head of Maths in driving excellence across the department and ensuring outstanding student outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Support the Head of Maths in leading and developing the department.
2. Deliver high-quality teaching across KS3, KS4, and potentially KS5.
3. Assist in curriculum development, assessment strategies, and lesson planning.
4. Mentor and support staff to ensure best teaching practices.
5. Analyse student performance data to drive improvement.
6. Contribute to the wider college community and promote a culture of achievement.
Requirements:
1. Exceptional teaching and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and engage students.
2. Proven leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
3. A strong academic background, capable of teaching Maths to GCSE and/or A Level standards.
4. A commitment to professional growth, with evidence of ambition and ongoing professional development.
5. Experience in creating a dynamic and engaging curriculum that fosters a passion for the subject.
6. A clear focus on maximising student achievement and ensuring every student makes the best possible progress.
