Within the Bournemouth East Integrated Community Mental Health Team, we are looking to recruit an Administrative Team Leader to manage and coordinate the administrative team and medical secretaries. We seek an organised, motivated, consistent, and enthusiastic individual with excellent administrative skills to join our existing team.
The successful candidate will need to multi-task and work flexibly to help manage the workload of a busy Community Mental Health Team with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office programmes including Outlook, Word, Excel, Winscribe, and relevant NHS systems (Rio, Dorset Care Records, CLUES, etc.).
The successful candidate will be highly organised, motivated, and able to work to deadlines in a busy office environment as part of a larger team, and able to take and transcribe formal meetings and distribute minutes in a timely fashion.
The successful candidate will need to have an excellent telephone manner, as you will often be the first point of contact for this busy team and will need to be able to work under pressure. You will have strong communication skills and good attention to detail with the ability to cope with complex tasks while ensuring databases are kept up to date.
The successful applicant will be required to provide efficient secretarial, administrative, and reception support and management for the administrative team and at times to liaise with members of the public and a variety of professionals, both in primary and secondary care services. Given the nature of this service, some patients may contact us in distress, and we are looking for resilient applicants with a compassionate work ethos who can thrive with the right level of support being offered by the Team Leader.

This is a full-time position within regular office hours 0830 - 1700 with a 1-hour lunch break.
