Mildmay Oaks is a low secure and locked rehabilitation service for men and women with learning disabilities and/or autism spectrum disorder (some with a forensic history) who are supported in wards or single person Bespoke Therapeutic Placements.

Job Responsibilities
1. Manage and coordinate the implementation of evidence-based occupational therapy assessment and treatment interventions ensuring effective application and delivery to a diverse patient group.
2. Receive and respond promptly to referrals, undertaking patient assessments to identify and prioritize patient needs before planning and delivering the appropriate and relevant interventions either on an individual or group basis. Maintain accurate and timely records detailing each patient's rehabilitation/progress.
3. Ensure the effective and efficient management of more junior staff.
4. Maintain and develop close working relationships with professional and clinical colleagues within the multi-disciplinary team, ensuring clinical practice is in line with Priory policies and procedures and complies with statutory regulations and quality standards.
5. Contribute to business growth by actively promoting Priory therapy services in line with the local unit's business plan.
6. Maintain effective communication links with patients, relatives, carers, and purchasers throughout the patient's rehabilitation.
Person Specification
Experience
* Experience working with people who have autism and learning disabilities.
Qualifications
* BSc Hons or Diploma in Occupational Therapy and accreditation by the HCPC.
