As Lead Pharmacist, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing new and advanced medicines across multiple specialties. Working closely with consultants, specialist nurses, and frontline healthcare professionals, you will drive excellence in medicines management, safety, and governance.

Main duties of the job
* Prescribing in inpatient setting within integrated medicine for Endocrine (as required by the service).
* To provide a consistently high pharmaceutical service to patients in line with the Trust corporate objectives and the NHS plan.
* To provide leadership and training of the team that delivers this service to ensure service provided is to high standards.
* To manage medicine related risks and ensure Trust Medicines policy and medicines legislation is complied with within the Integrated Medicine Division.
* To deputise for the Pharmacy Team Lead – Integrated Medicine when appropriate.
* To support the Trust financial objectives by providing financial analysis and advice in relation to medicines management to the Endocrine Services and the Pharmacy department.

Membership
* Registered Pharmacist: GPhC
* Post-graduate diploma in clinical pharmacy or recognised equivalent
* Member of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society
* RPS faculty Stage II accreditation
EXPERIENCE
* Significant hospital pharmacy at Post Registration Pharmacist level
* Significant experience of delivery of pharmacy services to a broad range of specialties including medicines and surgery
* Experience of delivery of clinical pharmacy service to a specialist level
* Evidence of significant relevant Continuing Professional Development
* Experience of project management
* Experience of conducting service audits and the use of performance indicators
* Experience of teaching and tutoring
* Experience of training other pharmacy staff
* Experience in pre-registration training
* Experience of managing staff
* Working as part of an MDT
* Experience within Endocrinology
SKILLS, ABILITIES & KNOWLEDGE
* Able to prioritise and manage own workload
* Work, communicate and provide effective leadership
* Clear, concise verbal, written communication to ensure liaison with multidisciplinary team, patients and carers and to ensure records are kept accurately and in a legible manner.

* Able to travel to other sites within the Trust and to venues for training
