About Us
Prospero Teaching is currently recruiting for a Business Manager to work in a Primary School setting in an OFSTED graded 'GOOD' school in the Oldham area.
About the Role
As the Business Manager, you will be a pivotal member of the leadership team, working closely with the Headteacher and governors to ensure the efficient and effective running of the school's business functions. This role is crucial in enabling us to deliver the best possible educational experiences for our pupils.
Key Responsibilities
1. Finance Management: Oversee the school's budget, financial planning, and reporting, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
2. HR Management: Manage recruitment processes, contracts, and staff well-being initiatives.
3. Premises Management: Oversee the maintenance, health and safety, and development of school facilities.
4. Administration: Ensure the smooth operation of administrative systems and processes.
5. Governance Support: Provide administrative and strategic support to the governing body.
6. Procurement: Manage contracts, tenders, and supplier relationships to achieve value for money.
About You
We are looking for a dynamic and highly organised individual with a passion for education and a proven track record in business or operational management.
Essential Criteria:
1. Relevant qualification in business management, finance, or a related field.
2. Strong financial management skills with experience in budget planning and monitoring.
3. Knowledge of HR processes and procedures.
4. Experience managing health and safety and premises-related matters.
5. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
6. Ability to work collaboratively and contribute to strategic planning.
Desirable Criteria:
1. Previous experience in a school or educational setting.
2. Familiarity with school management software and systems.
