KSTE are expanding breakfast and afterschool club provision to include Wixams Tree Primary Academy and require an organised and efficient deputy manager to ensure a fun, engaging, and safe space for our children at the beginning and end of the school day called The Club.
This position is responsible for the delivery of the breakfast club and afterschool provision. Responsibilities include supervising and delivering the programme, managing the play environment, delivering high-quality afterschool provision, engaging with the children, dealing with parents, liaising with the school and Trust, and supervising the playworker staff.
The role requires a highly child-centred approach, the development of creative play contexts, and a strong understanding of safeguarding.
Previous experience of working with children is essential, and the candidate must demonstrate an understanding of offering care to our children. Previous management experience is desirable. All applicants must undergo training and have a DBS.
The deputy manager will set the rota for the playworkers and, although they may not be on duty every morning and afternoon, should be flexible in their ability to be on duty for the breakfast club and afterschool club.
