Are you a proactive and experienced leader ready to take on a new challenge? We are looking for a Recycling Waste Manager to help drive the future of waste collection services and lead a dedicated team through an exciting period of change.
Working as part of a team of three managers, you will oversee a workforce of 70+ staff and play a key role in shaping and improving the way waste and recycling services are delivered. This is an opportunity to make a real difference while ensuring that residents remain at the heart of everything we do.
We are seeking someone with strong operational management experience who is commercially minded, politically aware and able to develop innovative, cost-effective solutions to meet financial challenges. You will need excellent people and customer service skills, along with a logical and pragmatic approach to problem-solving. Collaboration is central to this role, as you will work closely with teams across the council, external partners, and other agencies to improve services and drive efficiency.
This is a crucial time for the waste and recycling sector, with significant changes on the horizon. We are looking for a strong leader who can help navigate these challenges and shape the future of our service.
