Job Title: Seasonal Grounds Person Accountable to: Head Grounds Person Contract: Fixed Term (6 months – 01 April to 30 September 2025) Hours: Min 40 hours per week, to include weekends, evenings and bank holidays as required Salary: £13,000 - £14,000 (pro-rata) Location: Taunton: Cooper Associates County Ground (CACG) / Taunton Vale Sports Club (TVSC) Closing date: 26 February 2025 The Role We have a new, exciting opportunity for a passionate and self-motivated Seasonal Grounds Person to join our Grounds Team. The role's main purpose is to assist the Grounds Team in the preparation of all the match pitches, training pitches and outfield of the CACG & TVSC to first class standard. On a day-to-day basis you'll be assisting with the preparation and maintenance of playing surfaces, outfield and practice facilities, use of covers, set up of practice nets and facilities, and machinery upkeep. You’ll also occasionally be required to assist the wider Grounds Team with these tasks at TVSC. About you You'll need to have demonstrable levels of experience working as part of a team. You will have knowledge of modern sports turf processes and innovations, and an understanding of what is required to prepare and maintain first-class sport surfaces. You have a passion for working in sporting environment, which is supported by your innovation and desire to continually improve. You are a team player, with a positive, proactive attitude who can motivate and inspire others to develop and achieve excellence.
