Job Opportunity: PCN Pharmacist
Location: Near Dartford, Kent
Salary: £59,000 FTE
Start Date: 1st of June
Working Hours: 3 days per week (preferably Monday and Friday; potential for 4-5 days in the future)
We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated PCN Pharmacist to join a well established and thriving dispensing practice near Dartford, Kent. This role is a fantastic opportunity for a candidate to work directly within a forward thinking Primary Care Network (PCN), with the potential for growth and development in the future.
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct medication reviews and medicines optimisation work to enhance patient care.
*
Focus on specialist areas, particularly hypertension, while also engaging in general pharmacy duties.
*
Address safety alerts and ensure the timely management of medication-related concerns.
*
Serve as a mentor to the dispensing team, providing guidance and professional development.
*
Work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team within the PCN and the surgery.
*
Support with the implementation of the Total Triage system for appointments, ensuring efficient patient care.
*
Ensure patient satisfaction by contributing to the continued positive outcomes seen in their recent survey (80% satisfaction rate).
*
Manage 15-minute appointments with allocated admin time (half a morning per week).
About the Practice:
*
Emis Web practice with 10,000 patients.
*
Dispensing practice in a semi-rural and affluent area, with a predominantly white British aging population.
*
Parking is available on-site, and candidates will need to drive due to limited public transport options.
*
This role will be based solely at 1 surgery; however, the opportunity for remote work (1 day) could be considered, with a preference for being on-site.
Requirements:
*
Must have or be working towards CPPE (Continuing Professional Development in Primary Care).
*
Ability to prescribe is essential.
*
Experience in medication reviews, medicines optimisation, and working within a dispensing practice.
*
Specialism in hypertension would be an advantage.
*
Emis Web experience is preferred.
*
Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
