Team Overview:
The Investor Accounting and Finance team ("IAF") is the client service division of the LaSalle finance function. We are responsible for a wide range of services for our clients, including but not limited to management reporting, statutory financial reporting, audit management, fund structure set-ups and management, transaction support from the simplest of asset acquisitions to complex, cross-border and leveraged transactions, cash flow forecasting & management, management of tax compliance and debt origination & debt restructuring. We are part of a global team under the Global Head of Investor Accounting & Finance.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
The role reports to the Finance Director / Senior Fund Controller and the primary responsibilities will be to assist the IAF team with transaction processing, financial reporting, data entry, entity administration, accounts payable and other processes as follows:
* Assisting fund controllers with corporate entity management. Activities shall include processing director appointments and resignations, filing statutory accounts, confirmation statements, etc as required. Ensure Companies House is kept up to date and all changes reflected on the Global Entity Management Systems (GEMS).
* Coordinate cash flow forecasting for clients together with the fund controllers and the asset management team and process cash distributions/drawdowns and payment to client process.
* Post journal entries into Yardi (e.g. accruals, provisions and revaluations).
* Monitor client billings across the team, ensuring billing forecasts are completed on time and invoices raised. Pursue aged debtors and liaise with client and group finance teams to resolve any issues.
* Assemble and distribute financial reports including monthly and quarterly investor reports, documentation for independent auditors, supporting schedules and reports from general ledger and ancillary systems.
* Compile and send wire transfer requests to Treasury team using appropriate system.
* Assist fund controllers with tax compliance (including VAT reporting).
* Assist with the liquidation of entities where required including the maintenance of any deadline trackers implemented.
* Assist the team with miscellaneous accounting and finance projects.
* Assist with the design and implementation of new finance processes and monitor compliance where required.
* Creating and formatting Word, PowerPoint and Excel documents.
* Process documents for signature manually and electronically.
* Support the fund controllers on the processing of invoices through the accounts payable system up to the payment of the invoice.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
* Previous experience in a book-keeping or accounting role desirable and/or a similar environment is preferred.
* Excellent spoken and written English.
* Excellent organisational skills and ability to efficiently multi-task.
* Highly IT literate, self-starter navigating and learning IT systems (MS Teams, OneDrive, Travel booking, etc) with intermediate PowerPoint, Word and Excel skills.
* Accuracy and attention to detail.
* Ability to work under pressure.
* Ability to work autonomously with clear understanding of priorities.
* Maturity and professionalism to handle client contact (in person/calls/emails) also dealing with colleagues around the world, especially senior colleagues.
* Enthusiastic, dependable and willing team player.
* Keen interest in working towards an accounting qualification, LaSalle will provide support for relevant profession qualifications, e.g. ACCA, CIMA, etc.
