Senior Quantity Surveyor - Manchester - Consultancy - Up to £65,000 +
We are working with a well established consultancy in Manchester who have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic cost management team. They deliver high-impact projects ranging from £1m to £600m across sectors like Defence, Education, Health, and Manufacturing for leading blue-chip clients. If successful you'll work with a collaborative group to achieve team success while being supported in your career growth within their nationwide business.
Location: Manchester, with projects in surrounding areas.
Your responsibilities include:
* Lead cost management from inception to completion on large-scale projects.
* Manage multiple projects with key clients and support business planning.
* Develop and guide a strong cost management team, ensuring efficient service delivery.
* Produce feasibility studies, cost estimates, and cost plans at all design stages.
* Assess building designs and proposals to maintain project budgets.
* Manage the tender process, including issuing documents, reviewing returns, and advising on procurement.
* Advise clients on building contract terms.
* Provide robust post-contract cost control, manage variations, and negotiate final accounts.
* Build and maintain strong client and consultant relationships.
* Maintain high professional standards.
You must have the following requirements/attributes:
* RICS-accredited degree in Quantity Surveying or a similar discipline.
* MRICS with experience in technically complex projects.
* Strong client relationship skills with excellent negotiation and organizational abilities.
* A proactive, team-oriented individual who strives for service excellence and adding value.
