Role Overview
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Warehouse Administrator to join our team in DN3. This role supports efficient warehouse operations by handling essential administrative tasks, managing inventory, and coordinating communication across departments. Ideal for candidates with previous administrative or warehouse experience, this temporary-to-permanent opportunity offers a chance to enhance your skills in a fast-paced setting.
Key Responsibilities
* Inventory Management: Accurately monitor and update stock levels in real time within the warehouse management system.
* Order Processing: Input and process both customer and internal orders, ensuring accuracy and timely dispatch.
* Warehouse Coordination: Coordinate with warehouse teams and other departments to support operations, manage shipment schedules, and oversee logistics.
* Data Entry: Log all incoming and outgoing goods efficiently, maintaining up-to-date and accurate records.
* Documentation: Prepare reports, labels, and other documents using Microsoft Excel and Word for accurate filing and record-keeping.
* Communication: Serve as a liaison for internal teams, drivers, and external suppliers, providing updates and resolving queries quickly.
* Compliance: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the cold storage facility.
* General Administration: Handle routine administrative tasks, including managing emails, filing, and other clerical work.
Key Skills and Attributes
* Previous Experience: Prior experience in warehouse administration or a similar role preferred; candidates with general admin experience will also be considered.
* IT Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word is required; experience with warehouse management or database systems is a plus.
* Attention to Detail: High accuracy is essential for managing stock and logging data.
* Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a professional and friendly approach.
* Organisation: Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritise effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
* Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to resolve order discrepancies or logistical issues efficiently.
* Teamwork: Collaborative approach, able to work well with warehouse staff and other departments.
* Adaptability: Comfortable working in a chilled environment and capable of managing early morning shifts.
