Business Transformation, Managing Consultant

As a Managing Consultant you will have the opportunity to play an important part in shaping and developing our business transformation capability, with the support of an established and well positioned company with an impeccable delivery and transformation track record and customer base.
Here’s what you will do
Business Transformation consultants work with Credera clients and colleagues, leveraging technology to translate business ambition and intent into effective change. As a proven transformation specialist, you’ll help clients achieve their goals through a combination of advice and hands on delivery. Typically, you will lead or be intrinsic to joint client teams focused on achieving successful delivery and transformation. Internally, you will be a key contributor to the Business Transformation practice. You will deepen the strength of our collective knowledge, develop collateral and help drive our growth through client extensions and bid support.
Hours
This is a permanent role within our Consulting function. We consider flexible ways of working, that allow the best outcomes for our people and clients. Working closely with our clients is key to successful outcomes, and so travel both UK and international may be required.
Responsibilities and Skills
Our experienced Business Transformation consultants must have strong business competence with a pragmatic approach to delivering complex solutions. Consultants need to have a combination of project and programme management, client management, business development and hands-on transformation skills; often gained while working for a top tier or boutique consulting business. Responsibilities will include:
1. Analysis and examination of existing business processes, identifying areas of inefficiency, problems and potential opportunities for improvement along with appropriate milestones and metrics/measures (i.e. OKRs/KPIs/SLAs)
2. Developing comprehensive transformation strategies for clients that aligns with their short and longer-term goals
3. Developing detailed plans and roadmaps, outlining the steps and transition phases for implementing the transformation
4. Producing and delivering communication and engagement plans for the transformation and being confident and comfortable being the ‘face of change’ for the project/programme
5. Engaging with users, team and stakeholders to address concerns, build consensus, and ensure buy-in
6. Identifying issues and risks, and pro-actively problem solving and mitigating risks.
7. Managing transformation resources (i.e. people, budget, technology) effectively to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget and reporting as required against milestones and metrics
8. Working with technology and technical teams to maximise business value from technology transformations
9. Continuously communicating, motivating and coaching people on the project/programme
Who you are?
You are perceptive, personable, culturally sensitive and demonstrate a high degree of emotional intelligence. Being able to work collaboratively in a matrix organisation is essential, as is the ability to manage and nurture varied, senior stakeholder relationships.
You will have significant management consultancy experience.
You have excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to build and maintain trusted relationships with clients and colleagues.
You will have strong analytical skills, with a critical eye for detail to be able to identify areas for improvement in the business.
Typically, you’ll display a high degree of competency in business transformation delivery and across one of more of our core capabilities of:
1. Transformation strategy and innovation
2. Target operating model design and implementation
3. Business change management and communications
You will have experience and strong track record with leading and managing transformation projects/programmes and being accountable for the business outcome(s).
Breadth of sector expertise such as Energy, Utilities, Financial Services, Commercial and Public Sector will be a big advantage.
Evidence that you have been proactively involved in building out business transformation capability within an organisation and in business development support activities (i.e. relationships with previous clients, conferences, articles, sales and bid support, etc.)
