Job summary We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Band 6 Radiographer to join the Cross Sectional Team at WWL Teaching Hospitals. The post is for 37.5 hours per week, part time hours will be considered.Candidates should have a flexible approach to their working hours as this contract will be flexible across 7 day working, including evenings, weekends, nights, stand-by and across multiple sites. WWL offers cross sectional imaging across 3 sites which includes Wrightington, Wigan and our new state of the art Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) at Leigh Infirmary. Our portfolio includes 4 Siemens CT scanners and 3 Siemens MRI 1.5T wide bore scanners across all sites and a new 3T MRI at the Wrightington site in 2025. You must have proven experience of an extensive range of MRI and/or CT procedures and a demonstrable high level of MRI and/or CT scanning knowledge. It is desirable for candidates to have successfully completed the SOR IV Cannulation Qualification and essential to have recent NHS experience. You should have evidence of ongoing CPD activities incorporating current advances in both CT and MRI. The role will require you to work across all areas in the Trust which includes those that are designated as positive, asymptomatic and negative COVID wards. Previous applicants need not apply.
