Senior Pharmacy Technician

We have an opportunity for a Senior Pharmacy Technician to join their team of staff in the Pharmacy Department. This is a full-time role for 37.5 hours a week. No unsocial or weekend hours are required.
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
1. Must be registered on the General Pharmaceutical Council register as a pharmacy technician.
2. Knowledge of General Pharmaceutical Council Codes of Professional Conduct, Ethics and Performance and their implications for practice.
3. Attainment of relevant specialist qualification/knowledge.
4. Maths, English GCSE at grades A to C or equivalent functional skills level 2 evidence.
5. Proficient in the use of a PC, including the use of software and systems.
Duties of this role include:
1. To support the delivery of an excellent clinical, operational and governance based medicine management service.
2. Support the team to deliver care that helps improve the health of the individual and wider community.
3. Support the team in demonstrating compassion through effective relationships based on empathy, respect and dignity.
4. Develop own competence to deliver effective care and treatments through improving clinical/technical knowledge/skill, and expertise.
5. Communicate appropriately with others involved in the care of the patient.
6. Act as an advocate for safeguarding patients, demonstrate courage to speak up when there are concerns about care.
7. Demonstrate commitment to improving care and the patient experience.
8. Provides and co-ordinates technical pharmacy services for a specialist area (extended role).
9. To procure & receipt medicines for the hospital.
10. Top up and distribute medicines to all areas of the hospital in conjunction with the pharmacy team.
11. Stock management of medicines within the hospital.
12. Provide a dispensing service for medicines that may be required.
13. We can also offer a clinical diploma if requested.
