Senior Family Support Practitioner (Hastings) for Family Support Work
Chichester Diocesan Association for Family Support Work is looking to appoint a Senior Family Support Practitioner working in Hastings, East Sussex. This is an exciting opportunity for enthusiastic individuals to join one of the oldest Children’s Charities in Sussex. Working with a wide range of families and children, referrals are received from a broad spectrum of schools, voluntary, and statutory agencies.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Supervising a small team of family support practitioners.
2. Leading peer supervision sessions.
3. Monitoring FSPs case load.
4. Identifying and managing own caseload.
5. Developing bespoke support services for each family.
6. Promotion and coordination of our service in the area.
7. Developing support groups, drop-ins, and term and non-term time activity sessions.
8. Providing advice, guidance, support, and counselling to families and individuals who are struggling with life.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will be CQSW, Dip SW qualified and registered with the relevant social care council or possess an equivalent professional qualification and registration. You will also have experience working with children and families and providing support within a multi-agency setting. A good knowledge of the Children's Act and accompanying guidance, along with a sound understanding of the complex issues facing children and their families today, is essential.
