What you’ll be doing:
* Will be responsible to build, maintain and measure the BAESS Security awareness and communication plan with a goal of influencing behaviours to improve the security culture.
* Co-ordinate, manage and ensure that the annual security training programme is delivered, developing the structure to ensure sustained long-term delivery.
* Develop and deliver security training material to a range of communities across business functions and create a metric framework to measure effectiveness of the awareness and training programme.
* Analyse and evaluate the effectiveness of existing processes and practices within the function to identify opportunities for change and innovation to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of business delivery.
* Provide advice and guidance to business functions on the interpretation and application of security policies, ensuring compliance.
* Conduct training needs analysis and offer solutions to satisfy business requirements in the most efficient and effective way.
* Represent the Security Department at internal and external meetings to promote the work of the department and ensure this aligns to wider business values and objectives.
Your skills and experiences:
* Proven track record of exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to interpret complex messages in a simple, clear and concise manner for internal and external stakeholder communications.
* Extensive understanding of security and security principles, gained in a corporate security management, aviation security, defence, law enforcement or military environment.
* Experience in development and implementation of new processes.
The Security Training and Awareness Team:
The team is responsible for providing guidance and support to the functions on the Security Awareness and Training programme deployment, including embedding communication activities to enhance business performance.
This role will manage the security awareness and security training programme in order to protect BAE Systems, its people, infrastructure, information and assets, as well as the interests of its shareholders and customers, and to fulfil regulatory and legal obligations.
