The Mix Stowmarket, Stowmarket, Suffolk IP14 1BB £24,144 per annum Full time, 37.5 hours per week Fixed term until end July 2026 Reference: 0123 Required as soon as possible Your role As our new Youth Worker, you will work closely with Project Leads and the Youth Work Director to promote The Mix’s values, vision and strategy. The Youth Worker will sustain a belief in the intrinsic value of young people, and a desire to support young people’s wellbeing and development. You will be responsible for delivering youth work activities, specifically our early intervention, in-school delivery. You will hold a small caseload of young people, delivering one-to-one sessions, drop-ins and/or small groups to support the wellbeing and resilience of the young people we support. You will represent and promote the charity and its charitable activities amongst the community, with volunteers, families and other professionals, and be an advocate for young people. You will need to be proactive, demonstrate excellent communication skills and will have the ability to engage with young people with a range of diverse needs, ensuring our youth work maintains its excellent standing and reputation. The Youth Worker will be creative, flexible and demonstrate a passion and skill for supporting and developing young people in our care. You will be exceptional, practical and with a positive attitude to work in this key role which equips young people with the experiences and skills they need to flourish and be valuable contributors to society. You will proactively build a safe environment for young people and offer engaging, diverse, and impactful activities based on sound evidence and feedback from young people. Your responsibilities youth work delivery and managing a caseload of young people safeguarding project reporting and data collection project development networking and collaborating with key stakeholders across the community. You will need: Level 2 qualification in Youth Work, or a willingness to undertake this training (Essential).
