Our busy Community, Business, Work & Skills Team are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and conscientious Community Development Officer. We are looking for someone with previous experience working in a similar role who is passionate about community development and supporting our voluntary and community sector.
You will lead the development of current and new innovative projects within Blaby District, working effectively alongside key partners. You will be working as part of a fast-paced and focused team of dedicated Officers. Community Development is at the heart of all we do, and this role is fundamental to continue this focus and to further enhance our offer to residents.
This role provides a great opportunity to make a real difference in the community.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead the development of community projects.
2. Collaborate with key partners.
3. Support the voluntary and community sector.
4. Work as part of a dedicated team.
This role will require an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check (known as a DBS check). All offers of employment will be made conditional upon receipt of the satisfactory DBS check.
