Are you passionate about mental health care and looking for an exciting opportunity to join a supportive community mental health team?
We are currently seeking a Registered Mental Health Nurse to become part of our dedicated Community Mental Health Team. Based at Aylesbury at the Whiteleaf Centre, our team is committed to providing exceptional care and treatment to adults with mental health challenges. Our goal is to deliver patient-centered care of the highest quality, while supporting our staff in their roles and fostering their professional growth.
As part of the Aylesbury CMHT, you will work alongside a multidisciplinary team that includes medical professionals, psychological therapists, social workers, occupational therapists, RMNs, and support workers. We also collaborate with third-sector workers who specialise in employment, housing, and social needs. To bridge the gap between patients and clinicians, we have also introduced Peer Support Workers who bring the invaluable perspective of lived experience.
This role is eligible for an incentive scheme of £3,500 paid at intervals over an 18-month period. All payments are pro-rata, non-pensionable and subject to a clawback clause. Please also note that only employees external to Oxford Health NHS are eligible for this scheme.
Main duties of the job
* Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop personalised care plans in collaboration with service users and their families/carers.
* Deliver evidence-based interventions following NICE guidelines to promote recovery and prevent relapse in various settings.
* Regularly review care and outcomes, supporting service users in completing clinical outcome measures and adapting treatment options as needed.
* Provide specialist nursing advice, carry out nursing procedures, and manage medications in accordance with NMC guidelines and Trust policies.
* Support and supervise junior team members, act as a mentor/preceptor to student nurses/trainees, and contribute to the Trust Nursing Strategy.
* Participate in operational planning, policy implementation, and service development within the team, including leading on delegated projects and engaging in quality improvement initiatives.
