Job Description:
As part of the Commercial Operations team, the Commercial Operations Engineer will focus on tendering BRUSH’s transformer portfolio.
The Tender Engineer will manage all tender generation and internal hand-over activities, leveraging existing processes and tools to deliver compliant solutions promptly while managing technical, commercial, and contractual risks.
The Tender Engineer will coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure technical and commercial requirements are accurately captured and translated, including reviewing tender opportunities, compiling responses, cost roll-ups, supporting pricing, administrative support, and preparing terms & conditions, including negotiations.
They will ensure tenders cover all technical and commercial aspects and are positioned competitively, playing a critical role in the performance of the Commercial team.
Role Responsibilities:
* Utilize existing processes and tools to deliver compliant tenders promptly.
* Manage all tender activities.
* Ensure the quality and accuracy of tenders and aim to win business with integrity.
* Identify and document technical and commercial risks according to policies.
* Produce tender inputs in collaboration with functional teams, including cost analysis and terms & conditions.
* Develop risk mitigation strategies for business approval processes.
* Coordinate tender inputs and outputs with support functions.
* Develop opportunity pricing strategies aligned with customer value and business goals.
* Obtain and document necessary business approvals in line with policies.
* Follow risk and governance processes.
* Generate and submit tenders and proposals.
* Participate in customer negotiations to resolve issues and secure orders.
* Lead the purchase order handover process.
* Manage customer and opportunity records and maintain tracking software.
* Gather customer and market feedback.
* Support process, tools, and policy improvements for efficiency.
* Participate in strategic capture teams and cross-functional initiatives.
* Update pre-qualification documentation, contribute to forecasting, and support audits.
* Improve commercial templates and tools.
