Health Analytics Principal (HEOR & Market Access Strategy)
Location - London or Winchester (40% minimum in-office with Tuesday as the team day)
In 2020 LCP launched our Health Analytics practice, providing analytical and research services for organisations across the life sciences and healthcare industries. Our team brings together clinicians, statisticians, epidemiologists, health economists, bioinformaticians and health data scientists alongside our established actuarial, analytics and technology teams to deliver new solutions for the fundamental challenges in health.
Our team’s mission is to help move health systems from importers of illness to exporters of health and to support our clients to deliver value to patients. We have already developed a track record for leading approaches to real world evidence generation, health economic modelling and innovative reimbursement design.
We have grown the team quickly in response to the demand we are seeing for the innovative service offerings we have developed and have four internal service areas – Real World Evidence Generation, Market Access & Evidence Generation Strategy, Health Economics & Outcomes Research (HEOR) and Integrated Omics. We are now recruiting for a Principal to work across HEOR & Market Access strategy areas (+/- real world evidence generation) and to join the leadership team of our Health Analytics department.
As a Principal in Health Analytics, you will bring deep subject matter expertise (e.g. in health economics, epidemiology, real world evidence, market access) alongside excellent people leadership and client engagement skills. This is a senior role and you will be part of the leadership team, helping to develop new service offerings within our existing four service areas and providing support to the growing team.
What do we do?
LCP’s Health Analytics team works across the healthcare and life sciences markets, combining health expertise with innovative approaches from our work in other sectors to tackle leading health issues. Examples of the types of projects that you will be working on include:
* Developing evidence generation strategies to help clients achieve access/reimbursement success for their assets
* Developing health economic models to quantify the value/impact of interventions, from early phase clinical development through to post-launch
* Generating real-world evidence (RWE) using electronic healthcare records, registries, biobanks etc for health technology assessment (HTA)/payer submissions
* Developing cutting edge methods to help drive the acceptance of non-traditional evidence by HTA agencies, for example by using generative AI, advanced analytics and/or modelling
What will you be doing?
* Delivering excellent client service in existing service areas by:
o Leading on the delivery of client projects including being the primary contact for client management and accountable for efficient project delivery
o Managing project teams including coordination of study design and protocol development where appropriate. We expect most projects would be for clients in the pharmaceutical sectors and many projects that you will lead will be working across service area groupings/teams
o Acting as a Subject Matter Expert on projects and engagements across the breadth of the Health Analytics team and LCP’s wider services
* Driving the business forward with new services, thought leadership and proposals by:
o Supporting growth of the existing analytics offering into new markets and extending the capabilities of the current Health Analytics’ offering according to your expertise and track record
o While this role is not to develop a new service area, we expect that there will be new services that we can provide to our clients that leverage your skillset, experiences and the existing skillsets across the department, particularly in the HEOR and Market Access Strategy teams
* Contributing to ongoing work in developing LCP’s Health Analytics sector presence through thought leadership
o A particular focus of this role will be to contribute to LCP HA’s increasing thought leadership work to position LCP as unique thought partners to support our commercial growth through working both with pharmaceutical clients alongside key stakeholders such as HTA bodies
* Generating new opportunities through thought leadership and/or early engagement with prospects
o This role will also include leveraging existing contacts across the life science sector and upselling and cross-selling on existing clients/prospects through projects you lead
o Lead on developing proposals and progressing client opportunities; Coordinating delivery of proposals with support from Health Analytics leadership colleagues and Health Analytics BD team
* Culture and People Development
o You will be a member of the Health Analytics Leadership team and actively contribute to the development of the team
o Line manager for team members
o Support across HEOR and Market Access service area leads in the training and development of the team
What experience, skills and qualities will you bring?
* You will likely have more than 10 years of experience in the healthcare, life sciences or consulting industries, with a track record of leading teams in delivering innovative work in a fast-paced environment
* A 2:1 degree or better in a numerate or science subject, a relevant PhD degree (e.g. Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Health Economics) is desirable
