Job Title: Finance Assistant / Accounts Administrator
Location: Wellingborough - Hybrid
Reporting to: Financial Controller
Working Hours: Open to Part-Time / Full-Time Working hours - 25 - 40 per week
Contract Duration: Approximately 6 months, potential for further extension or permanent thereafter
As the Finance Assistant, your key responsibilities will include:
* Process sales and purchase orders and invoices
* Post receipts and resolve customer/supplier queries
* Monitor invoice payments and resolve customer queries
* Chase overdue debts and manage customer payment histories
* Work with Sales to issue credit notes and reduce debtor days
* Perform daily bank reconciliations
* Upload invoices
* Assist the wider finance team as needed
As the Finance Assistant, you must demonstrate the following skills and attributes:
* Proven experience in a similar role
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
* Experience with Sage, QuickBooks, or Xero
* Strong numeracy and communication skills
* Ability to resolve queries and prioritise tasks
