1:1 Support Assistant - Cambourne Area
Position: 1:1 Support Assistant
Location: Near Cambourne, Cambridgeshire.
Hours: (Part-Time) Monday and Friday, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM
Salary: £13-£18 Per Hour (Inclusive of 12.07% Holiday Pay)
Start Date: January 2025

We're looking for a dedicated 1:1 Support Assistant to work with two children who have Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs in Cambourne, Cambridgeshire.

About the 1:1 Support Assistant Role:
As a 1:1 Support Assistant, you'll play a vital role in helping these children access their learning and build essential life skills. Working closely with teachers, therapists, and other support staff, you'll provide tailored support, ensuring the children feel valued, included, and empowered.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Supporting children with their individual learning plans.
- Encouraging social and emotional development in a nurturing way.
- Assisting with personal care when required.
- Creating a positive and safe environment for the children to thrive.
- Working collaboratively with the wider school team to meet the children's needs.
1:1 Support Assistant Requirements:
We're looking for someone who:
- Has experience or a strong interest in working with children with PMLD and/or SEMH needs.
- Is calm, empathetic, and adaptable.
- Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Is reliable and committed to making a positive difference.
- (Preferred) Holds a relevant qualification or training, but this isn't essential if you have the right attitude and experience.
- Must have a Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle, or the ability to commute to Cambourne, Cambridgeshire.
