Multi-award winning Tour Operator based in London are looking for a dynamic and result driven Head of Sales to join their tremendously exciting company. This pivotal role combines strategic vision with hands-on leadership to drive revenue growth, optimise conversion rates, and enhance our client’s customer experience.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the Head of Sales will collaborate with Marketing, Commercial, and Operations teams to align sales efforts with broader business goals. You will play a key role in motivating and developing a high-performing sales team while ensuring our client’s processes are efficient and customer-focused. With your passion for travel and proven track record in sales leadership, you’ll be instrumental in shaping the future of this multi-award winning tour operator.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Strategic Leadership:
* Create and implement sales strategies to increase revenue, improve conversion rates, and grow market share in the 4* and luxury 5* holiday market
* Collaborate with senior leadership to align sales strategies with overall business objectives
* Identify new opportunities and develop actionable plans to capitalise on them
Team Management:
* Lead, motivate, and mentor the sales team to achieve targets and KPIs
* Conduct regular one-to-ones and performance reviews
* Develop onboarding processes
* Monitor team performance through call listening, sales coaching, and addressing customer complaints
Operational Excellence:
* Evaluate and implement technology and sales tools to improve lead management, sales processes, and reporting efficiency
* Analyse sales data to provide monthly reports on conversion rates, and performance metrics
Customer Engagement:
* Improve repeat business rates and customer referrals by building loyalty and enhancing service quality
* Ensure the sales team is aligned with marketing campaigns, effectively communicating offers and product focuses to customers
Collaboration and Communication:
* Work closely with marketing to optimise customer acquisition cost and ensure alignment on lead conversion strategies
* Participate in regular management meetings to provide insights and updates on sales performance and forecasts
Skills & Experience:
* Proven success in the 4* and luxury 5* travel market, with first-hand industry knowledge
* Experience leading sales teams
* Analytical skills, people management skills, and a data-driven approach to decision-making
* Proficiency in CRM systems, and reporting tools
* Experience in coaching and mentoring travel consultants to achieve sales targets
* Familiarity with Galileo GDS or similar, including sourcing competitive flight and accommodation packages
