The Job: Carry out a pre shift driver walk around vehicle H&S check prior to departure from Depot. Load Calor vehicles in line with Calor loading procedures Bulk or Cylinder Deliver L.P.G. in line with Calor procedures on single or multi drop basis to households, factories, farms, hotels, and restaurants using Calor vehicle fleet equipped with digital logistic systems. Have excellent knowledge of the product LPG its characteristic properties and dangers. Wash, refuel and check vehicle fleet. Maintain cleanliness of vehicle including cab interior. ReportAccidents or incidentsto the depot as soon as they occur and anyunsafe or dangerous sites. Complete all Near Miss reporting as required. Produce licence for inspection periodically and report any adjustments immediately. Adhere to Legal Requirements of Tacho Driver Hours. Be familiar with tachograph regulations in relation to driving times and breaks, daily download digital tachograph card. Maintain and process daily paperwork and submit at the end of the shift. Follow procedures as laid out in the drivers manual and the training manual. Assist with training other drivers as required. Ability to work a flexible schedule with possible after-hours emergency calls. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively. Excellent customer service skills. Complete minor yard duties as required. Full cooperation and adherence to all health and safety processes and procedures always. Undertake training in new processes, equipment, and technology in line with continuous development. Undertake basic LPG tank inspections and other duties related to tank compliance Experience Skills and Qualifications Required: Hold a clean HGV driving licence appropriate to size of vehicle (rigid/articulated) ADR Certificate in bulk gases and packages / willing to train towards. Up to date CPC. Clean driving record essential and ability to provide proof of same if requested. Health and Safety, awareness and knowledge essential Be safety conscious in driving and handling LPG, wearing of protective clothing and equipment and manual handling techniques. be familiar with tachograph regulations in relation to driving times and breaks. Flexibility and availability for early and late start and finishing times for example early starts can be from 5.00hrs and late starts can be from 14.00hrs Flexible, positive, can-do attitude to ensure customer demands are met. Excellent communication skills Professional manner in all communications and contact with colleagues, managers, Calor employees, customers, public, other road users. Reliable, punctual and hard working these are key requirements for the position. Willingness to embrace change and new technologies. Knowledge of Mechanics advantageous Experience in Digital Logistics is an advantage. Good geographical knowledge of Northern and or Southern Ireland. LPG Knowledge Previous relevant driving experience. Customer focused with a proven track record in dealing and interacting with people in a positive and professional manner is essential.
