We have an exciting opening within our Peterborough Accommodation Services as a Project Worker. We are looking for passionate and professional person to Support residents aged 16-65 during their time with us. As an Accommodation Project worker, you provide practical support to vulnerable children, young people and adults who are at risk of homelessness. You will implement support plans, as well as provide practical advice and assistance on important life skills, such as budgeting and seeking employment. You will work between 2 main sites but also at times be required to visit our site in Wisbech to check in on residents and conduct fire tests. Key duties include; Provide high-quality person-centred support to enable and empower clients to develop the skills necessary for independent living within legislative, regulatory requirements and best practice. Work within YMCA Trinity Group policies and procedures upholding the values and ethos of the organisation. Maintain high standards of supervision and support in order to create a warm, caring and homely atmosphere Assist in the running of the residential areas of the Project and ensuring a high level of working practice Ensure continuous development of key working and support packages in line with organisational policies and procedures Participate in the on-call system and work a 7-day week rota including weekends and evenings. Skills and Experience In summary, the successful applicant will have the following qualities: Ability to work calmly and methodically in a demanding and at times challenging environment Ability to write reports, case notes, clients records and to make and maintain excellent liaison with external agencies Be able to work on own initiative and as part of a team A good level of Education Experience of working with people from various backgrounds, cultures etc. Excellent interpersonal, listening and teamwork skills Excellent listening skills and able to show empathy Motivated and able to balance and prioritise workloads To work effectively on own initiative and as part of a team Reliable and punctual Ability to work within the values of the YMCA Trinity Group Download the Job Description in full in the Job Advert on our website. Days and Hours: You will be contracted to 40 Hours Per Week. This is a combination of Early Shifts (8am-4:30pm) mid shift (11am-7:30pm) and Late Shifts (1:30pm-10pm). The role also included working alternate weekends and includes on call duties. Salary and Benefits Annual salary £25,604.80.
