Payroll Assistant
VANRATH are delighted to be working with a global Accountancy Practice who are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Assistant to help manage payroll processes for their global clients. As part of a dynamic and growing accountancy firm, you'll play a key role in ensuring payroll accuracy and compliance.

What you'll do:
* Liaise with clients regarding payroll queries
* Call HMRC for any PAYE or other queries on behalf of clients
* Update and maintain payroll spreadsheets
* Process payrolls ahead of deadlines
* Calculate employee salaries (e.g., sick pay, holidays, SMP)
* Enter new employees into payroll software using Starter Checklist and/or P45
* Check HMRC for any student loan or tax code changes
* Process year-end procedures, including issuing P60s and uploading them
* Send requested documents such as payslips, P45s, and P60s
* Email or upload P60s at year-end
* Upload employee and employer pension contributions to the relevant pension schemes
About you:
* At least 3 years' recent experience in an accountancy practice/payroll bureau
* Professional manner with clients
* Working knowledge of payroll legislation
* Experience with SAGE
