Our client in Inverness offers a distinctive opportunity to join a well-established team as an IT Team Leader/ Assistant IT Manager. In this role, you will oversee technical support across the company and participate in specific IT projects that support the growth and development of our technology infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
1. Leadership and Mentorship: Lead, mentor, and motivate a small team of IT professionals to achieve departmental goals and objectives. Provide guidance and support to team members, fostering their professional growth and development.
2. Team Culture: Cultivate a positive and collaborative team environment that encourages innovation and continuous improvement.
3. Technical Expertise: Offer technical expertise to resolve complex IT issues, serving as an escalation point for critical technical problems to ensure timely resolution and minimal disruption to operations.
4. Best Practices: Implement and maintain best practices for IT service delivery and support, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
5. Infrastructure Management: Oversee the maintenance, configuration, and optimization of the company's IT infrastructure, including network, servers, and systems.
6. Security Measures: Implement and enforce security measures to protect company data and infrastructure from potential threats.
7. Project Management: Lead IT projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget. Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables, and allocate resources accordingly.
8. Cross-functional Coordination: Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of IT projects with business operations.
9. Supplier Management: Collaborate with the ICT Manager to review and develop supplier relationships, including purchasing and service level agreements. Monitor supplier performance and address any issues or concerns promptly.
Qualifications:
10. IT Expertise: Solid understanding of IT best practices, security principles, and regulatory compliance requirements.
11. Leadership Experience: Proven experience in a leadership role within an IT environment, preferably in a small team setting.
12. Technical Background: Strong technical background with expertise in IT infrastructure, systems administration, and network management.
13. Educational Background: Ideally, a degree in a related field, though a proven track record of successfully managing IT projects from initiation to completion is more important.
14. IT Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network, Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer) are a plus.
