Land Manager - Solar & Battery Storage Development
East Midlands Ideal Location - Flexible Working Setup
Salary Dependent on Candidate Experience - £40,000 - 50,000
Piper Maddox are working with a Pan-European Power-Producer who are one of the top emerging names in the renewable energy sector. Our client specializes in taking utility scale Solar & BESS projects from initial inception, through development and construction phases, and finishing up with an operational asset.
This role would sit in their UK division, who have been going from strength to strength in recent years. They are currently developing a pipeline of over 8GW and are coming off the back of a successful CfD allocation round, multiple planning successes, and unveiling cutting edge DCO projects in 2024.
Your role within this company is as a Land Manager for their UK development arm. This role surrounds the identification of suitable land for new development opportunities, landowner engagement & management, the negotiation of commercial terms relating to land acquisition, as well as negotiating cable routing and land access matters.
Necessary experience for this role includes:
1. Being comfortable and confident engaging with necessary stakeholders - including multiple overlapping landowners.
2. Experience in handling high volumes of negotiations for land deals - for example Heads of Terms, and Option to Lease Agreements.
3. Knowledge and experience in the renewable energy sector - such as applicable constraints for a land acquisition process for a Solar or BESS project.
4. Exposure and experience in handling Wayleaves & Easements for land access matters and cable routes within the construction and grid connections phases.
You would be joining a highly collaborative team where everyone works towards a common goal. This company is very well backed both in terms of funding and pipeline, so you can rest assured that you will see your projects come to fruition.
This would be a fantastic opportunity for someone with roughly 2-4 years of experience in the land/rural sector, who has exposure to the renewable energy sector and would like to be at the forefront of the development space, working on a high volume of land deals.
