A fantastic opportunity has become available for a Conveyancing Assistant within the Residential Conveyancing Department at the Scunthorpe office. This role involves supporting busy fee-earners through all stages of residential property transactions, requiring someone who can work independently and handle a range of administrative tasks. Previous experience as a legal assistant or secretary is essential.
Conveyancing Assistant Key Responsibilities
* Provide a consistently high level of service to all clients
* Communicate with clients via telephone, email and in person
* Maintain and manage the case management system while adhering to firm procedures
* Schedule and manage appointments and meetings
* Attend meetings and take minutes when required
* Handle general administrative tasks such as photocopying, printing, and sorting post
* Ensure all deadlines are met within specified timeframes
* Respond promptly to telephone and email inquiries
Conveyancing Assistant Requirements
* Minimum of 1 year of secretarial or legal assistant experience (required)
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks
* Proficient in using case management systems
* Effective communication skills and a client-focused approach
