Impressive benefits package and real opportunity to progress. The role Manage investment risks for the fixed income portfolio within the Shareholder/Non-Profit portfolio. Oversee and challenge appointed fixed income and derivative managers. Maintain and enforce the Derivative Risk Policy. Prepare monthly management information (MI) for the asset portfolio. Support the ALM team in managing the fixed income portfolio within the Matching Adjustment fund. Provide subject matter expertise (SME) on rates, credit, and derivative risks. Develop processes to ensure derivative operations align with policy standards across managers and retained services. Prepare weekly/monthly derivative reports on liquidity, collateral, and counterparty exposure. Review and recommend improvements to meet market and regulatory best practices for fixed income and derivatives portfolios. Proactively identify control weaknesses and recommend process improvements. Ensure end-to-end understanding of all operational tasks, ensuring consistency in standard processes. Support the wider investment team and CIO as needed. Ensure compliance with FCA and PRA conduct standards and notify regulators as required. About you Experience in the asset management or investment industry. Strong background in derivatives and/or investments, preferably in life insurance, asset management, or consultancy. Proven experience managing relationships with third parties and external investment managers. Good knowledge of life assurance and pensions business; experience with bulk purchase annuities is desirable but not essential. Strong understanding of the UK regulatory environment and experience working with regulators in the life insurance sector.
