Community Locum Mental Health Occupational Therapist, Band 5/6 (dependent on experience) Job Summary: This role involves delivering specialised mental health support within a multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will assess, plan, and provide therapeutic interventions tailored to service users with diverse mental health needs. The primary aim is to support clients in achieving their rehabilitation goals through structured interventions, enhancing daily functioning and promoting independence. Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive assessments to understand service users' occupational needs and develop personalized care plans in line with evidence-based practices. Engage in individual and group therapy sessions using frameworks like the Model of Human Occupation (MOHO). Act as a care coordinator, organizing multidisciplinary reviews and actively participating in team discussions on client care. Support the service user’s journey by providing education, therapeutic activities, and practical guidance to help manage their mental health challenges. Lead and facilitate community outreach programs and educational sessions for clients and caregivers. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Occupational Therapy. HCPC registration. Experience in mental health services, particularly in community or secondary care settings, is advantageous.
