Ashton Recruitment require a Quality Technician for our client based in Craigavon. Position: Quality Technician Location: Craigavon Duration: Permanent Rate of Pay: 30,000 per annum Hours of Work: 40 hours per week As a Quality Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining and improving product quality and safety standards. You will work closely with the quality team to conduct inspections, tests, and audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and customer specifications. This position requires strong attention to detail, analytical skills. Duties will include (but not be limited to): Sampling and testing of products, with the provision of accurate and timely QA monitoring and report-ing, ensuring that product is produced to customer specification / guidelines. Perform routine quality control tests and analyses on raw materials, intermediate products, and fin-ished goods using laboratory equipment and instrumentation. Test for attributes such as moisture con-tent, pH, viscosity, texture, and microbiological safety. Conduct visual inspections of products, packaging, and production processes to identify defects, devia-tions, and non-conformances. Document findings and collaborate with production personnel to im-plement corrective actions. Collect samples of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products for testing and analysis. Fol-low sampling protocols and procedures to ensure representative samples are obtained for accurate testing. Maintain accurate records of quality control tests, inspections, and results. Record data in electronic databases or logbooks and generate reports as needed for review by management and regulatory au-thorities. Assist in investigating quality issues, customer complaints and non-conformances to determine root causes and corrective/preventative actions. Taking and recording checks in the following areas - temperature of fridges and freezers, internal cali-bration of equipment, pH monitoring. Assist in blending requirements for production requirements. Assist in the NPD process and preparation of sample requirements as per customer, sales and product development requests. Sign off and file away daily paperwork. Assist in identifying, raising and documenting defect of products outside specified tolerances. Assist the Quality team in day-to-day tasks.
