Clerical Support Officer, Band 2
Part time - 30 hours per week
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Band 2 Clerical Support Officer to join our Haematology Team. You will play a key role in supporting the department to help in the delivery of a high-quality Haematology Service, and the role will largely involve the management of our team's Health Roster.
This post can be based at the Royal Glamorgan or Prince Charles Hospital, this will be down to the preference of the successful candidate.
The post holder will be expected to be flexible and open to changes, to identify opportunities for improvement and to play an active role in developing, implementing and sustaining improvements to working practices.
Main duties of the job
The purpose of the Clerical Support Officer is to provide an efficient data entry and typing service to support the Haematology Service.
In addition to clerical tasks, the post holder will be required to use the Health Roster system with regards to the team's annual leave, shift swaps and identifying any gaps in service provision.
The clerical support officer will follow departmental and Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board (CTMUHB) policies and procedures when undertaking their tasks, referring to the haematology senior biomedical scientists as needed.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

* NVQ Level 3 Qualification or equivalent experience
* Knowledge of Health Roster
* Knowledge of some medical terminology
