The Role
As part of a multidisciplinary team the post holder will have responsibility for assessment of care needs and the development of programmes of care, and/or the implementation and evaluation of these programmes ensuring the delivery of high quality care to patients.

What we'll need you to bring
Registered Nurse with valid NMC Registration/ SVQIII in Operating Department Practice/Diploma in Operating Department Practice
The post holder will be required to demonstrate excellent team working skills with the ability to work using own initiative
Effective listening, communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Excellent time management skills
Working knowledge of basic information technology
It would be great if you also have
Evidence of continuous professional development
Educated to degree level in health related subject
Scrub, anaesthetic or recovery experience
Mentorship
ILS
Willing to take on expanded practice and train for undertaking IV drug therapy, cannulation
Experience within the perioperative environment
Demonstrate experience of surgical nursing
Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of surgical nursing
Good understanding of role of Band 5
Ability to work varied shifts
Ability to travel to other sites when required
Flexible when required
Interest in perioperative nursing
