We are currently looking for a dedicated Admin Officer to join the Royal Courts of Justice for a 1-month Easter Blitz Project. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the smooth operation of the court system, providing critical support to help manage a backlog of small claim hearings within the County Court across England Location: Royal Courts of Justice, Strand Central London Contract Type: Temporary (1 Month) Start Date: 7th of April 2024 End Date: 2nd of May 2024 Salary: £14.75 per hour (with benefits including pension scheme and holiday pay) Hours: Full-time (37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:00) Key Responsibilities: Support the management of a backlog of court hearings for the London and South East regions. Process court orders and liaise with internal and external parties involved in the court process. Assist in court clerking duties during hearings, ensuring accurate documentation and efficient processes. Scan, transfer, and file documents, maintaining accuracy and consistency in records. Upload documents to electronic systems and databases in a timely manner. Communicate with relevant parties to schedule hearings, serve court documents, execute warrants, and collect fines and fees, including processing payments via chip and pin. This is a strictly office-based role; no remote working is available. Required Skills and Experience: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to manage data effectively. Exceptional organisational skills with a keen eye for detail. A positive attitude and a professional approach to working in a high-pressure environment. Strong communication skills, particularly via telephone, with the ability to engage with both internal and external stakeholders in a court setting A self-starter with the ability to work independently and take initiative. Additional Information: A DBS check will be required prior to the start of the role. We will assist with processing this.
