We're looking for a passionate and experienced Site Electrical Engineering Manager to join our team here at ICL Boulby. As the backbone of our operations, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of our mine and surface assets.
About the role
The successful candidate will hold the pivotal role of Appointed Mine Electrical Engineer, ensuring compliance with current legislation and industry regulations:
1. Set and enforce engineering standards to guarantee the safe and productive operation of our assets.
2. Spearhead the identification and implementation of best practices to optimise operational efficiency.
3. Provide technical leadership and support to our operational teams.
4. Stay ahead of the curve by continually exploring and integrating new technologies and practices.
5. Lead capital projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to safety, regulatory, and financial requirements.
About you
You must be experienced with all aspects of electrical equipment within the mining, tunnelling, and civil industries:
1. Extensive knowledge of engineering maintenance techniques to improve machine reliability.
2. Extensive knowledge of ‘The Mines Regulations 2014 and Industry Regulations’.
3. Experienced in HV distribution and systems.
Qualifications:
You must hold the following qualifications/certificates:
1. You should be a Chartered Engineer with a Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
2. Member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) or a Member of Institute of Electrical Engineers (IEE) or Institute of Materials, Minerals & Mining (IM3) or another relevant institution.
3. NEBOSH General Certificate.
4. Regulations BS7671.
5. Safety Auditing.
6. Risk Assessment.
