Job Description
Marketing Strategy & Planning:
* Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy that aligns with business objectives, encompassing product launches, seasonal promotions, and ongoing brand enhancement.
* Collaborate with NPD to identify and leverage market trends and consumer preferences to ensure the successful positioning of new products.
* Partner with the Sales team to stimulate sales growth through targeted marketing initiatives that support key accounts and retail partnerships.
Product & Brand Management:
* Lead product positioning and branding initiatives for core products, ensuring consistency in messaging across all channels.
* Oversee product packaging design and promotional materials to align with brand identity and regulatory standards.
* Manage new product launches from concept through execution, including pre-launch activities, in-market activation, and subsequent analysis.
Market Research & Trend Analysis:
* Conduct market research to analyze consumer behavior, the competitive landscape, and emerging trends within product categories such as jams, jellies, vermicelli, and mincemeat.
* Analyze sales data and customer feedback to inform data-driven marketing strategies.
* Identify untapped market opportunities and potential product innovations.
Digital & Content Marketing:
* Lead digital marketing initiatives, including website management, social media, and email marketing campaigns, to enhance online engagement and sales.
* Create compelling content such as blog posts, product stories, and customer case studies to showcase product quality and versatility.
* Manage external agency relationships, freelancers, and influencers to support digital initiatives.
Promotions & Campaigns:
* Design and implement integrated marketing campaigns across print, digital, and in-store mediums to support significant sales periods (e.g., holidays, product launches).
* Monitor and report on campaign performance, including ROI, customer engagement, and sales impact.
* Collaborate with retailers and distributors to execute joint marketing initiatives.
Budget Management:
* Develop and oversee the marketing budget, ensuring efficient resource allocation and robust ROI.
* Track marketing expenditures and provide monthly financial reports, adjusting plans as necessary to meet budgetary goals.
Collaboration & Cross-Functional Leadership:
* Act as the primary liaison between the Marketing, NPD, and Sales teams to ensure alignment on product development, promotional activities, and market strategies.
* Participate in cross-functional meetings to share insights, report on marketing performance, and contribute to overall business planning.
The Successful Applicant
Essentials:
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in a marketing role, preferably within the food & beverage or FMCG sector.
* Proven track record of successfully launching products and executing marketing campaigns.
* Experience collaborating with NPD and Sales teams to achieve business objectives.
* Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
* Proficiency in digital marketing tools (e.g., SEO, SEM, social media, email marketing) and data analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics).
* Creative thinker with the ability to recognize and act upon market trends.
* Strong financial acumen and experience managing marketing budgets.
Desirable:
* Degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; a master's degree or professional marketing certification is a plus.
* Strong understanding of the food manufacturing industry, particularly in jams, jellies, vermicelli, and similar products.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
