General duties will include daily opening and locking of the school premises and ensuring a high standard of cleanliness throughout the school. The successful candidate will support our school in providing a clean, tidy, hygienic, safe and well maintained, learning environment. Maintaining security at all times to support and safeguard the welfare of all persons using the school premises. The successful candidate will need to be fit and able to cope with the physical demands of the job. Previous experience of cleaning, safe use of chemicals and using cleaning machinery would be desirable but isn’t essential as full training will be given. Old Hall School is a specialist setting in Walsall providing education to young people at EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, all of whom have a variety of SEND complexities.
