We are seeking a dedicated Sales Coordinator at our site in Littlehampton to join our Customer Services team. You will have responsibility for ensuring that both sales growth and targets are met by managing the customer relationship from order intake to delivery, exploiting new sales opportunities, and providing a first-class service to our customers.
This role is key in managing the Company Order Book, which is central to the entire business, requiring strong commercial awareness, integrity, and tenacity.
Your main duties will include;
* Build and maintain strong customer relationships, supporting Sales Managers and managing customer needs.
* Identify and escalate sales opportunities while managing incoming sales inquiries within set timelines.
* Process orders in the ERP system, perform profitability checks, and support estimating tasks.
* Prepare accurate quotations and respond to inquiries promptly.
* Ensure timely processing of customer orders, schedules, and invoices, resolving or escalating issues as needed.
* Collaborate across departments to represent customer interests, address queries, and anticipate risks.
* Support invoice preparation and resolve related queries.
* Provide statistics, KPIs, and reports to the business and customers as required.
The ideal candidate will have;
* Proficient experience in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook (essential)
* Previous experience using an ERP system (essential) preferably D365 or Sage (desirable)
* Customer centric with good interpersonal and negotiation skills (essential)
* Good product/market knowledge (essential)
* Experience of working within an OEM and after-market sales environment (essential)
